Window Cleaning · Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire
Window cleaning for shops, offices, schools and other business premises across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire, by ladder and squeegee or the Reach and Wash water-fed pole.

The service
Seventy years ago the Oliver family started out cleaning windows in Hemel Hempstead with ladders, buckets and squeegees. The round is still run the same way: a set cycle of visits, conventional ladder work where that suits, and the Reach and Wash water-fed pole where glass is high or the ground awkward.

01
A window round is a fixed list of elevations, cleaned on a fixed cycle by a cleaner who knows the building. Glass, frames and sills are done together every visit. Each job begins with a walk round every elevation to note height, access and fragile glass, and to decide which method suits each pane.

02
All our window cleaning is for businesses, and many rounds sit inside a wider cleaning contract, so the firm that does your floors also does your glass and reports on both monthly. Timing follows your trade: shops before opening, restaurants between services, schools around term dates. If your opening pattern changes, the round changes too.

03
External glass takes weather, traffic film and bird mess, so it needs the regular round. Internal glass collects fingerprints, condensation marks and sill dust more slowly. Most contracts pair a monthly external clean with a quarterly internal one, worked with applicator, squeegee and cloths while rooms are empty. Partitions and door panels can be added.

04
Rounds run monthly, quarterly or on a bespoke cycle. Monthly suits shopfronts and entrances; quarterly suits upper floors and rear elevations where dirt builds slowly. The cleaner comes in the same week each cycle, signs the sheet and reports anything noticed, such as a cracked pane or failed seal, so it reaches you early.

05
Reach and Wash pumps purified water up a telescopic pole to a soft brush. The brush loosens dirt, and the water rinses it away and dries without marks. It reaches upper floors from the ground and works over flat roofs and planted beds. Where a ladder gives the better finish, we carry out conventional ladder work.

06
Windows are cleaned at height on premises open to staff and the public. Olivers works under the same audited procedures as all our contract work: Safety Rules for Contractors, PPE and accident reporting, audited annually under SAFEcontractor and open to your inspection. The cleaners are our own uniformed employees, and our Employers Liability Insurance certificate is shown on request.

Good to know
As with every window job, we look at the building first. We count the panes on each elevation, note height, access and whether ladder or pole suits, and agree the cycle. The quote covers glass, frames and sills and is fixed for the round.
Yes. External glass is the regular round; internal glass, partitions and door panels are added at whatever interval suits, usually quarterly against a monthly external clean. Internal work is timed for empty rooms and done with applicator, squeegee and cloth so frames and sills are finished too.
Shopfronts, entrances and glass customers walk past are usually done monthly. Upper floors, rear elevations and glass under a canopy hold up on a quarterly cycle. Trees, a busy road or nearby building work shorten that. We recommend a cycle at the start and adjust it once the first visits show how the glass behaves.
Cracked, loose or fragile glass is noted before anyone touches it, and the work follows audited Safety Rules for Contractors and PPE procedures. A Certificate of Employers Liability Insurance is shown on request. Anything found already damaged is reported to you on the visit sheet.
Parking near the elevation being cleaned, gates and side passages unlocked, and vehicles moved from beneath the windows on the day. Reach and Wash works from the ground, so most buildings need no scaffold or hoist. Anything needed is written on the job sheet.
Most window work runs as regular rounds for business premises. A single clean before an opening, after building work or ahead of an inspection can sometimes be fitted in, and the building is looked at the same way first. Tell us the occasion and we will say whether we can take it on.
